What size cupcake, jumbo or regular size would you think is equivalent to a slice of cake? I charge $3 (and up) for a sheet cake/wedding cake slice but have been asked for cupcake or individual cakes for some Christmas parties. I have already made some candy molded ornaments for the topping plus do frosting and such. I was just wondering, I don't want to them to think I am being stingy on the size for the price.
Thank you.

It isn't necessarily size but the design and such when you charge for a cupcake.I start at $2.50 each for my standard size basic buttercream swirl cupcake and they go up from there depending on design and embellishments.Charge for your time and talent. Most people know what size a standard cupcake is I wouldn't worry.
Colleen - I believe a regular cupcake is approximately equal to a standard serving of cake.
A regular cupcake is about the same size as a slice of cake. I think the cupcake is actually slightly bigger. But cupcakes are a lot more time consuming to bake and decorate. They are a pain in the butt to transport and set up. And if you are doing individual toppers, that's a lot of work.
You should definitely charge accordingly!
Thank you. I have 25 to do for the 13th and 23rd. I was going to do a sheet cake and my son wants individual servings; he's catering the event. The standard ones will be easier. It's for a sporting goods store and the owner comes in to the restaurant every day so Paul wants me to do something with worms for the 23rd. Mr. Knutson is always counting worms everytime Paul goes over there so I made some candy ornaments and am going to put gummy worms and phish on them with a special dirt cake for him.
