I have a very specific question, and I haven't been able to find an answer by googling. Can I freeze sugar cookies decorated with colored sugar, or will the sugar get too sticky?

TIA

I freeze my sugared spritz with no issues. Also I used to work for a grocery bakery that got sugared shortbread cookies in frozen and there was never a problem after thawing with those, either.

I've frozen cookies with the coarse colored sugar, and they were fine. Just keep them covered airtight for defrosting, so condensation doesn't form on the cookies and make the sugar dissolve/color run. (I had that happen once with cupcakes with colored sugar that were frozen/defrosted without being kept airtight.)
