okay guys, i'm contiplating a business direction and would like some input/advice. okay, this sounds funny....but i won a scholarship at the county fair for a class at the area tech. school. now they offer cake decorating classes, but i've already taken the wilton 1, 2, & 3 course plus the gum paste flower course. so i signed up for the magic of clowning class. hahaha i know. but i already have the clown costume i made last year, and i really like making the kids laugh at church when i wear it. so heres my idea.....i would offer a birthday package for the cake and the clown. i know this would be fun. my question is, do you think i would get paid enough to make it worth my while.....and after doing all the birthday parties, would i ever be taken seriously as a cake decorator? i'll be getting my licsence maybe by the end of the year so i could advertise.
am i being silly or do you think parents would "rent me" as a clown and order my cakes? i think this is a cool idea but husband is laughing at me and rolling his eyes saying, "what next" haha

Wow, I think it's a great idea. How fun would that be! You would make them laugh and then it's always a treat to see how excited they get when they see the cake. 2 Great things for the price of 1. Good luck. 
Tell hubby to pipe down or you'll wear the big red shoes to bed one night. haha.

Wow...that's a great Idea, go for it! There was a woman in my small town that used to come in dressed as a clown and entertain at children's party and bring a birthday sheet cake decorated with...guess what? THE WILTON CLOWNS!

the vo tech shcool just called me, and i know its hard to believe, but i was the only one signed up for that class so they cancelled it. go figure. oh well, i can focuse more on my cakes.
