I have a lot of fondant decorations left over from my last cake. I'm wondering how long they'll last. Are they like RI decorations, that last forever?

They'll keep a long time, protected from humidity, dust and light (some colors will fade in the light).

I have a random MMF question. I have a BIG cake week next week. Wanted to get a jump start. How far in advance can I make MMF decorations to go on the sides of a round cake? I tried the other day on a cake with some I had made ahead of time and they had dried, so when placed on the cake they had no give and therefore cracked. Do I need to dry them on the side of a pan or something to give them the appropriate shape? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm not sure but I have heard of people freezing fondant decorations such as bows!
