I want to make a heavenly hash cake for my dad's birthday, since that is his favourite kind of icecream.

So for the cake part, I want it to be very marshmallowy. Would it be possible to melt marshmallows and then whip them into the cake mix and bake the cake like that?

The marshmallow mixture will melt into the batter as it bakes.... The resulting cake will be be sweeter, but won't taste like marshmallow/s.
