How Do I Use Whipped Cream Filling With Fondant On Outside?

People that I know loved moist cakes with whipped cream or anything thats light fluffy and not that sweet.
So I had tried cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream and I covered the cake with fondant, one layer worked well the other collapsed and the one that worked well...ummm...it has bulging sides...so any pros out there know how to use whipped cream successfully with fondant?
May be you should use a BC dam around your cake and then put whippedcream filling in. Also crumbcoat with BC and chill the cake to set before applying fondant.
I make very often cakes with whipped cream filling inside, because we don't like heavy cakes with buttercream.
On my blog is a tutorial with some pics...

The tutorial is in german, but the pics are self-explanatory - I hope so
Merry christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too! and THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!! thats a GREAT IDEA!!
may I ask where you get that metal ring you cut your dam with??
I don't cut WITH the ring, I cut AROUND the ring with a sharp knife.
The ring is an adjustable cake ring, which you can buy here in Germany in household supply stores or by amazon

pippilotta, I like your tutorial I just wish I understood german. My sons wife does so I will get her to read it to me. I want to try the cake with cream filling!

pippilotta - thanks for sharing. your cakes are great. so, how do u keep the whipped cream from going soft ? you cover with fondant and store in the fridge? the fondant will get fingerprints & condensation. i'm very interested in working with whipped cream, thanks for your help. are you using the powdered non-dairy whip cream?
pippilotta
Thanks so much for this. Your tutorial is wonderful. This is a topic that I have also wondered about.
FYI...if you use http://translate.google.com/#de|en| it will translate the entire website into english...she has some pretty amazing things on her page. Nice job pippilotta
