Help, I have a function in a week to provide caramel and candied apples, can anyone recommend the pricing on these items and how far in advance can i make these?
Thanks!
One quick tip!!!! The pricing all varies on your area!! I woud say if it was me, i would charge $3 an apple, but others maybe more or less.....good luck!
No prob! Any other questions, let me know! I am on here like night and day! ha! I love this sight and sometimes when i have questions too, i dont get them answered and its frusterating!
I asked this same question a few weeks ago and got several answers..It seem the average price for a candied/caramel apple is aboutr $5.00-$7.00 depending on your area and the economic conditions. If you are doing the gourmet ones with chocoalte and nuts etc..then as high as $10.00-$15.00 each..HTH
I get $10 for my apples...rolled in carmel, then dipped in milk then white, dark, adding salted walnuts and then drizzled with butterscotch or colored chocolates depending on holiday for which I am making them...put in cello bag and tie with lovely ribbon. or that wire with stars etc for christmas. Big seller.
Candylady, thanks alot, I think that I will caramelize by boiling the can, is that what you do and when its made in advance would it be okay to warm the caramel and dip or would it need to be thinned a bit with milk?
I actually buy the 5 lb blocks of carmel, cut off a slice, strech and wrap around each apple...not melting, dipping...
