I am making a cake for my dad's 50th birthday next week. I looked at the Over the Hill Section and there were a lot of good ideas. I especially liked the cakes with a person trying to climb out of their graves/hole. How do I make a person climbing out? Also what did you use to line the ouside of the paths (the "rocks")? This is the first cake I am making. I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hello!
Here is one of the cakes that I did with a man climbing out of the hole. I think it is really cute. This website will give you all the directions.

I just did a guy climbing out of a cesspool - same idea. He was made from MMF - I only made the top half of the man. LOL It's in my photos.

You also asked about the "rocks", you can use candy rocks. Cake supply stores sell them around me and sugarcraft.com also sells them. They are cute, I used them for a luau cake before. All different sizes.

You could also make the rocks out of gum paste or rolled fondant if you can't find candy ones.
