Cake Central is excited to announce our partnership with Chef Dominic Palazzolo and his company www.MakeYourOwnMolds.com
MakeYourOwnMolds.com is your source for food grade silicone mold making materials that are safe and particularly well suited for creating food molds. These unique silicone mold rubber compounds have been engineered to comply with FDA regulations and designed to be easy to use.
Because of the unique nature of the product and its endless possibilities, Chef Palazzolo will be making his team available on the Cake Central forums to help our members learn the process of mold making and answer any questions they may have about the products and their applications.
Additionally Chef Palazzolo will be writing a blog on Cake Central where he will share tutorial videos and various projects that can be accomplished with the MakeYourOwnMolds products.
MakeYourOwnMolds.com will also be contributing a percentage of all sales generated via Cake Central to help keep CakeCentral.com freely available.
So feel free to post your questions about specific MYOM products, or just mold making, using and applying molds in this forum
Welcome Dominic!! (I am the lady with the red truck at the Columbus ICES!) I have just bought a piece of lace that I am going to attempt to make a mold with this weekend. You are always so helpful - it will be great to have you here!
I purchased the materials from them to make the lace applique wedding cake in my photos.
It was so super easy to do. The tutorial on the website is awesome!!! Thanks for making my job SO MUCH EASIER!!!
I just wanted to post how happy I am to be a part of CakeCentral and to have my own forum. I am really looking forward to answering questions about mold making and how to use the various products I have invented over the years.
Somethin-Sweet - Thank you for the feedback on my tutorial. I am glad it it helped you with your lace appliques.
Loucinda - I am still admiring that truck of yours - you should post a picture of it so others can see what we are talking about. Good luck with your lace project. I am here if you need me!

I've been to your website a few times recently and in the past. I've spent a small fortune on molds and now I'm very interested in making my own.
Are your products sold in stores? Would like to save on shipping whenever possible.
Myom, welcome to CC. I have watched your videos via Youtube, they are very good!
Thank you for all previous and future help with mold making!
Welcome to CC
I have also been thinking about your product and glad your thread is here for us
Hi Dominic!
Glad to see you finally made it here.
I was the first to purchase stuff off your new website and you called me to see how my experience was and we talked cake forever! Looking forward to all your new products and tutorials. Got lots of projects planned so def will need your help.
sweetreasures - I sell my products direct in order to keep them fresh instead of aging on a shelf. We do not mark up our shipping charges and I think you will find that our shipping is pretty reasonable.
Teekakes, tatorchip, Kitagrl and cib thank you for the warm welcome. It is really great to be here where so many of my professional friends hang out. This is going to be fun.

Hi Dominic, I was the one from Cake Camp Las Vegas. The guy with big glasses who bought the containers on your table.
Anyways, I love your product and I already ran out. I was thinking of getting them in bulk but it says on your website that the mixture has a shelf life of one year from the date of purchase. Would this be the same if they are freshly made since I am thinking of getting a custom color?
Hi Dominic, Welcome to CC,
Glad to have you here I have watched your videos, as well, and will be considering making a purchase soon, so I am very glad that you are here to help us. Thank you so very much, and again welcome to our community.

Yes, yes, yes pleaseeee!! and you'll be my favorite person after that
I just got my order from your company late last week! I can't decide what to make with the silicone...I don't want to waste it!!
elliebuff - all silicones loss their reactivity over time. I recommend that you use my products within a year from the date of purchase. So, if you don't start now you may very well be wasting it anyway. Take a look on your refrigerator - fridge magnets are some of my favorite objects to make molds from.
I know I need to get started...thanks for the idea to use magnets...it's a good place to start!
cylstrial - I am glad you are excited about this forum. Are you contemplating on how to make a mold of something? I'm all ears
