I made a cake ball that had the taste of a chocolate we have in Brasil which is where I'm from. It is basically chocolate filled with brandy and cherries still with the pit in it. So I took choc cake and baked it. The night before, I had taken maraschino cherries and cut them up into small pieces and soaked them in brandy in a container. Next day after I baked my cake and crumbled it up, I took the cherries and strained them, reserving the brandy in a bowl. Added the cherries to the cake and frosting and tasted if it was good with brandy flavoring. If not, I added just a bit of brandy at a time until I got it the way I wanted it to taste. Then coated the balls in choc bark and while still wet, I put some red edible glitter sprinkles. It was very delicious. But I think I need to add more cherries or you can add a half or whole one.
As for the price, I charge $20.00 for a dozen, $18.00/doz for 2-5 doz and $15.00/doz for 6 or more doz. And my balls are medium size or 1.50".
