How Would You Describe The Wasc To Someone?

I was planing on making this for a friend but am not sure how to describe the flavor to her. What are your thoughts? What does the sour cream add/do to the cake?
I would describe the WASC as a rich, moist, dense cake rather than light and fluffy. I would describe the flavor as a vanilla and almond flavored white cake.
I think the sour cream contributes to that dense, moist texture, as do the other added ingredients.
Also you can make it without the almond flavor if your friend doesn't like almond. I make it more often with double vanilla and no almond, because most of the people I bake for don't like the almond.
Ya know I think its kind of funny a lot of people that I make the WASC for ask me if it is some kind of angel food cake. I do double vanilla instead of adding the almond flavoring.
I agree mom of 4. I get told it tastes like a cross between white cake and angel food. Its also pretty light when i make it. Can I use whole eggs to make it a little denser?
I must agree...I had several people tell me it reminded them of an angle food cake flavor...I personally am not crazy about angle food cake flavor so the next time I make this I am going to leave out a little bit of the Almond flavoring. WASC cake is very moist though.
