depends on the type and your recipe. I find anything made with oil usually stays moist for a day or two (ie, pumpkin, carrot, docotored up mixes, Hersheys perfectly chocolate, etc).

what kind are you thinking about?

It was just a plain easy sponge recipie, I dont think there is any oil added. Do you think I could doctor the recipie to make it ok?

how do you want to doctor up your recipe? you could just use the WASC recipe found here on CC....that is yummy and holds up well for a couple of days.

I add a box of vanilla or white chocolate pudding to my scratch cupcakes and it makes them very moist...I know that there is also a recipe here on CC for something similar, but I don't know how it is listed.

other people have wrapped their cupcakes individually to keep them moist....that might be an option for you too. If you wrap them slightly warm, the condensation keeps them moist....

sorry, lots of ideas....

The recipe I wasn't sure of is "Vanilla Butter Cake from The Mermaid Bakery" - not sure how to post the link....but you'll find it if you search recipes.

Absolutely! I keep mine in a cupcake airtight container though. They would get dry if you just set them out for a day. I always bake and decorate mine ahead! Good luck!
