I saw on one of the threads that someone had made caramel filling out of caramel ice cream topping, 1 cup of powdered sugar and one 8 oz. package of cream cheese.
I printed it off and I was just getting ready to make it and realized it doesn't say how to mix this together.
I don't remember who posted it.
Could someone please help?

I'm going to say that you just use your mixer and go from there.

The post doesn't say but personally I would start with the cream cheese, then add caramel, then add sugar.

Oh yum. I finally tried this in a chocolate and banana (one half each flavor) last weekend and it was SO GOOD!

I just left the cream cheese out for a few hours to soften while I was baking and then put them all the ingredients in a bowl and mixed with my hand mixer until incorporated.

Thank you MisDawn for posting that! It's my new favorite filling. I used the leftovers for the "glue" for my cakeballs.

I know the last post on this was a year ago, but I have a question. Can you use the same sauce used for dipping apples?

I always just dump all the ingredients together in my KA and mix. I suppose you could use the caramel apple dip. I don't know why not. Also, the filling is going to be thinner than what most filliings are. Don't be alarmed. Refrigerate it for a little while and it will get thicker, but it is made so that it seeps into the cake a bit. So it is supposed to be thinner than most fillings.

Thank you. I have to make a cake for a battalion meeting tomorrow night. I actually get tired of doing cakes, so I thought I would try the cake balls instead.
