Where do I find Damask Cutters? - Page 2

Here is a picture of a cake using the filagree lace cutters pictured in my last post. I don't know who made it, so I can give them credit for this beautiful design. It may have been Jennifer Dontz, but I am not sure.

Doing the happy dance! Joanne1944, thank you, those are what I am looking for. I am so excited. The 2 sets are $90 but will be so worth it.

Santa, they found my site for me! icon_lol.gif

My DD is in love with these cakes. She is now having a hard time deciding on how she wants it. At first, she liked the more detailed damask, now she is thinking less is more. Thank you all for helping me find these. I am so happy!

I have the filigree lace cutters also. Love them! This is a cake I did using the set. The cutters were used on the top and bottom tiers.

jlwnnw - I am so glad you found what you are looking for. I just received these cutters and haven't had a chance to use them yet. They are expensive, but you can do so much with them. Be sure to post a picture of your cake.

uniqueask - thanks for giving Sharon credit for her cake

TitiaM - your cake is absolutely stunning. I love the chocolate and green together and what you were able to do with these cutters. How did you do the center section of your cake?

Diane706 - thanks for the picture of your cake.

Thanks Uniqueask. Not exactly Damask like the OP was looking for but...

WOW, TitiaM, I love your cake and the design you created with the cutters. In to my favs for sure. Hope you don't mind if I "steal" that arrangement idea. I'm always thinking up and looking for different ways to use my cutters. I promise to give you credit! icon_wink.gif Did you place with that cake since it was a contest? I surely hope so!

Thank you guys so much, it was a fun cake.

joanne1944--I used a sugar gun with the smallest disc (for hair) then lined up all the strands in a row and stuck them to the back of a knife and attached them with a little water. I had to do it in small sections all around the cake--pain in the neck, but the effect is cool.

Uniqueask--the flowers on that cake are dogwood. I got the cutter at global. I made the centers, kind of like a daisy and clipped them with cuticle sissors to make them kind of rough looking and dusted them with gold. They are pretty easy to make, if a bit more fragile than some of the other flowers I've worked with.

Diane706--Your cake is stunning! I love it icon_biggrin.gif Sure, use it, have fun! I did win with the cake--first place in foreign technique wedding cakes, tiered cakes, best use of color, and something else, I'm not sure... Thanks for asking (oh, and I may "steal" parts of your design too--thanks!) icon_wink.gif
