So last month's tribute to GeminiRJ was pretty... not good. Everybody was busy getting back into the swing of school and fall and all that. Understandable.

The theme for this month is going to be.... Autumn Fun! Meaning you can do Halloween or leaves or Back to school or whatever you want as long as it's Autumn related. The ''Fun'' just means to enjoy it while you're doing it icon_smile.gif

I don't know the exact rules or where to find the thread, so generally they go something like:

New cookies only! Not something you've all ready done and posted to your photo gallery. Post a picture here in the thread if you can, or link to the new picture in your gallery. If you get your inspiration from someone else, be sure to mention it when you post your picture. Be kind and encouraging to your fellow cookie artisans and have lots of fun!

Ready, set, go!

Can't wait to do some 'Autumn Fun' cookies! I wanted to do last month's tribute to GeminiRJ,since she is one of my favorite decorators, but didn't get the chance. I hope to combine the months since I have received Gemini's cutters!

I'm sure that others have made some Autumn fun cookies too and would love to see them! Here are some skulls I made for Dia de Los Muertos. Enjoy![/img]

As a side note... I had a crazy time with the RI accents as they kept "popping off" the edible image. Any advice? I may repost this as a separate topic so that more people might click on it...but happy to take any advice.

Those dia de los muerto cookies r way awesome!!! I know my daughter would love those. She will be 30 next year. I bought a new printer, but have not had any money to buy the edible colors and frosting sheets. Would love to try to do those sometime.

I made these from the gingerbread boy and snowman cutters.

Sorry about the fuzziness. I hate my camera.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! Don't forget there are still a few days left in October, so I'd love to see the cookies that people have been working on icon_smile.gif Meanwhile, I'll think of our November theme...

Anyone know the theme for November? I think last year it was autumn, and I made schoolkids and turkeys.
NO they are not supposed to be clowns! LOL

But I wanted to share!

Yum!
I love the look of those rainbow lollipops, but seldom buy them except as decor because they're too hard to eat. COOKIE lollipops on the other hand...

7yyrt, those turkeys are so cute and very creative. I obviously figured out the maple leaf cutter, but please explain how you did the rest

Thanx Kelly

verono, that lolly cookie is so gorgeous! How did you do that? Is it fondant?

Yes it's fondant!
I've made long and thin fondant rope, twist them together and I've made a circle with it. Then I've flattened it... A lot of job! I've done only 6 in a little bit than an hour and my fondant was already made!

I just added cocoa and powdered sugar to the peanut butter buttercream to make a dough.
Rolled and cut some out for the circles, and molded the head and chest (in the shape of a figure 8 ) with the rest.
The eyes and feet are cloves.

Bobwonderbuns -

Here is the link for where I got it:

http://www.thecookiecuttershop.com/odds/odds91.shtml

I wish I could get it in copper. I bought this when I didn't realize how much better copper cutters were. This one is thin aluminum. But at least the price is good thumbs_up.gif
