When I worked in a bakery what we did was just slowly melt the buttercream icing/ glaze to a pour consistancy. Not too thin. set you little cake on a wire rack on top of another cookie sheet that the wire rack is elevated so the icing glaze or buttercream goes onto the sheet. Let youy cakes cool, you can do another pass if you wantm thing is they don't have to be perfect if you don't want, if you want them totally covered them cover them until they are, making sure consistancy is thin eacvh time. It is farely easy. Not hard at all. You can use fresh flowers to put on top, edible, or rose, or you can pipe flowers or decorations on them. Good luck!
