hey, does anybody know how long cream cheese icing is good for? i made it on Tuesday for a cake but i have so much left over so i want to make something else for it? How long can i keep it in the fridge for?

i always freeze any left over cream cheese.. i use it up within several months.. hth.. even with p-cans in it.. after icing carrot cake or red velvet

thanks for responding...i just wondered if i don't freeze it right away how long it can be refrigerated for, and also if i ice a cake with it can the cake stay at room temp and for how long? or do i have to refrigerate it? i'm still pretty new at this game so sorry if i sound stupid! thanks for helping.

The cc icing should remain good in the fridge for approx 2-3 weeks. For safety purposes it is best to refrig your cc iced cakes. If interested there is a no refrig needed cc icing located in the recipe section of this website. hth icon_smile.gif
