Every time I make cupcakes it seems like they have a pretty dome on them in the oven but colapse in and go flat after I take them out to cool. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Am I not cooking them long enough maybe?

They might not be cooked all the way. Sometimes it has to do with your recipe. Not all cake recipes can be used for cupcakes. So if you are using a cake recipe, that could be the prob. I'm not a trained chef or anything, so I can't really explain anything in detail - but it could also have to do with your baking powder or baking soda. It might need more or less. Was it old?

thanks for replying! I did a little bit of research and found out exactly what you are saying, you can't always use cake batter to make cupcakes. I did what some others suggested, reduced my water amount and added a box of instant pudding. I also baked them longer. They came out perfect the second time. Thanks again.
