When using MMF on cookies, do I uses a layer of BC or something 1st? Or does it stick by itself? Thanks is Advance!!!
You can use corn syrup with a little bit of water and brush on the cookie.
Some people put it right away when the cookie still hot.
I use a squirt bottle with corn syrup in it and just dab the cookie. Then lay the fondant on
I just put the fondant on the cookies right out of the oven. The heat from the cookies makes the fondant melt just a little and stick.
MMF is wonderful on cookies. I go ahead and cut my MMF with my cookie cutters before I even start baking the cookies. That way as soon as the cookies are out of the oven, I just slap on the MMF. Works like a charm!
I just tried this over the weekend. I just put the MMF on top the warm cookies, nothing else between. MMF melted onto the cookie, it worked out great!

This is how I make them too! Fast and easy!
I must be doing something wrong because anytime i've put the fondant onto the cookies right out of the oven, it popped off during decorating or packaging. I use thinned corn syrup.
How thin do you roll your MMF for cookies? I did 1/8 and it was too thick for my liking.
Magna, I roll mine to 1/8" or a little less. I make my own white chocolate fondant and it is delicious on them.
Teekakes...is your white choc. recipe posted? I would love to try it.
To make White Chocolate Fondant I make one double batch of Michelle Fosters Fondant, http://cakecentral.com/recipes/7446/michele-fosters-fondant and 1 recipe of White Chocolate Candy Clay which is;
5 cups of CK Candy Kote Superwhite Wafers to 1 cup of light Karo syrup. Melt wafers in microwave just until melted, mix in Karo until combined. Leave at room temperature until you can work it like clay. Knead it well then combine with the fondant. You now have White Chocolate fondant.
I actually have tried that before! My ratio was way off though...I used 1 recipe of each and it was a disaster.
I've always wanted to re-try it, so using your amounts, I would make 1 batch of MFF (double would be too much for me) + 1/2 batch of chocolate clay.
I've also added white choc. (straight, not made into clay) to Michele's fondant and that worked great.
Thanks so much, Teekakes
