I used a veiner for a poinsettia but I have used a leaf veiner for them too. The cutter for the big one is a 5 petal cutter, and the small one is a 3 petal cutter. I was supposed to have them, but they have not arrived yet.

Are you expecting them soon and should we wait to order, so we can save on the shipping, I don't want to have to order twice.

And what about the leaf cutters, do you carry those, for the stargazer, and the pointsetta's, the leaf cutter in the Wilton kit does not work for small leaves, for me, even when I try to cut them, do you carry the metal ones, like in the video, or can you please tell me where to get them.

I got it !!!

What a wonderful early Christmas present.

I watched it last night and it is another excellent production. Packed full of so many details. A real value.

I especially like the way you offered different versions of the flower. From simple to much more detailed.

great tips for tinting deep reds... Now I know why my gp was so sticky icon_cry.gif

And thank you for the section on gold and then silver/luster dusts. That is so helpful.

I can't wait to start.

Hi

I have been working on my flowers but I had a tooth pulled so it put me out of commission for a few days. My centers are done, my leaves are drying and I hope to assemble them tomorrow. They are so much fun.

I had already prepared red fondant, put a big blob of tint but not enough crisco on my gloves and what a stickey mess.

yes..the crisco does help for the gumpaste not to stick to the glove, and is best to do it little by little. :

Ta Da icon_biggrin.gif

Here they are.

I was short on time so I did the fantasy ones instead of the more realistic.

Thanks to Edna's wonderful tutorial, these are so easy to do and I think they are so dramatic. I will be adding green leaves to the red one. I'm giving it to my mom for Christmas.

Thanks Edna for yet another wonderful tutorial. When can we expect the next one. icon_razz.gif An orchid perhaps.

Well, I finally got my six Poinsettias assembled today, pictures taken, and now I want to make even more of them! I am very happy with the way they turned out! Edna, you make everything so easy! Thanks Lady! Now get your bum busy with making more dvd's!!! icon_lol.gif I NEEEEED more!!! thumbs_up.gif

Well darn! I've been trying to attach a picture of them into this message but for some reason it isn't working. So I uploaded the pic into my album, here is the link, http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1543599&done=1

When you see them the centers are dusted with red, moss and forest greens. I do not know why they appear purpley icon_confused.gif in my photos but every pic came out that way. Really, they are red! Not purple!! icon_smile.gif
