Thanks for all the nice comments on my Lily! Right now the most exciting thing for me is my little gp "inner tube" fix to hold the flower together is working! I put the gp tube on it last night then hung it upside down to dry overnight. This morning I turned it up to see if it was holding and it is! I am happy my first Stargazer isn't a lost cause over wire!! icon_lol.gif

Nannie, I agree the pistols and ridges make this one so realistic!

Granny Sharon, I am not sure if I'll be doing that cake or not. My dear friend may be flying in for the weekend, next weekend, and her 50th bday is Oct 7. If she does fly in I thought these Stargazer Lily's would be stunning on a special cake for her. icon_smile.gif

Here's a couple of pictures of my salvaged Lily............That little gp inner tube worked like a charm!! Although its shape is not perfect I do think it is still a very usable flower. icon_smile.gif

HAHAHA! You are funny! Your Lily looks perfect! Mine not so much! But, I am very happy with the way it turned out for my first one! Tomorrow I am going to start on 2 more of them for a 50th bday cake I may be doing over the weekend. Three more if my fix on this lily doesn't work. icon_lol.gif
Yes, I can tell they are going to get easier with each one! It is because I have such a good teacher!!! thumbs_up.gif

Now I can go to bed and sleep off my hard lesson learned! icon_lol.gif
Thank you so much for such an awesome and easy to follow DVD!! You are terrific, Edna!!!! thumbs_up.gif

What are you talking about, your lily looks perfect too,

I am so jealous, can't wait for the rest of my tools to arrive so I can try mine

I think she did great!

They told me the website should be fix by tomorrow...If not I will do it myself!...Im tired of waiting, they even took the message out of the website being worked on, so I went in and added my email and my apologies.

Is been too stressful!

Hi Edna-

Thank you so much for sharing your tutorials on you tube. I am deaf and had an interpreter sign what your are saying while I watched the cake videos on you tube.

My sign language interpreter learned something about cake decorating just listening to the videos.

Again thanks for sharing. Some of us you can not hear appreciate teachers like you for taking the time to offer free cake tutorials you tube.

Nannie has some work to do now!..lol

Here is the one I made with blue stargazer lilies.
The bride was under a budget so I dediced to use pre bought stamens.
Im not a navy blue lover for flowers so I gave it a hue of blue istead of doing the whole
thing in navy blue and just added some fillers in Navy blue.

I like the way you paired the blue lilies with white roses.

I watched it last night. Edna, you have such attention to details. You covered everything!

My order from GSA for the stamen mold wont arrive till tomorrow icon_cry.gif

so I'm going to do the petals and leaves tonight (while also watching Ken Burns documentary on the National Parks) Talk about multi tasking. icon_lol.gif

then I'll do the pistal and stamens when the mold arrives.

I'll post as soon as possible
