hi karen!

there is some wierdness going on about cake chic's release. some people got it, but most places are saying it won't be released until 2010.
so i don't have cake chic, but i do have all of peggy's other books, and i do have planet cake.

peggy porschen's other books cover a lot of different techniques including cookies. her cakes are feminine and are usually incorporate a floral motif. there is a lot of time and attention to patterning and detailing which i love. peggy's cakes are romantic cakes, lol. she covers a lot of ground in her books.

the planet cake book focuses primarily on carved cakes. the overall feel is whimsical. not a lot of different techniques being used (this is my opinion, others could fee differently). i love, LOVE, their website, and was kind of disappointed that they didn't have more of the variety of beautiful cakes they show online.

i like both books, but if i could only choose a peggy porschen book or planet cake, i would go with one of peggy's.
