I just finished my first fondant cake last night, a square box w/fondant bow. I used MMF, and my bow, even after letting it stay unboxed overnight, but bow won't stay up on its own. How can I prevent this in the future? Should I use the Wilton Fondant for things like this in the future?

Thank you so much icon_smile.gif

You might add some gumpaste to your MMF next time. I usually do a 50/50 mix when doing things like that. The Wilton Fondant does dry better than the MMF too. Sorry I am not much help!!

You can put them in the oven with the light on. That has worked for me.

Did you add some Gum Tex. Are the classes you are taking Wilton classes. In the Wilton classes i took (can't remember if it was 3 or 4) we used Gum Tex. To me the Gun Tex cut the drying time in over half the normal time. Also after we put the bow together we put a rolled up paper towel between the loops. Another trick you may can try, i put my fondant/gumpaste piece under a small oscillating over night.
Goodluck,
