Great cake I asked my roomates how much would they pay for this cake and we all agreed that any where around 55-65 would be a fair price. They also said if the person buying this cake was from NC that you would more than likely pay at least 100. What size is it? MC

It looks like it might be two 1/2 sheets (12x1icon_cool.gif stacked....if it is, then I say around here people would pay $60 or so....great work, btw, very clean!

I charge 30$ for a 1/4 sheet cake. I fill all my cakes, but the 2 layer is not as high as that cake pictured.

That's my charge for that type-$45-the signature is worth the cost for the time alone!

For a 1/4 sheet, I charge $35 unless there is some really time-consuming work. Then it would be $40 to $50.

I charge $25 for 1/4 sheet cake. If I have to add filling or it's another flavor other then yellow, white or chocolate I charge more. Plus I'd charge more depending on the decoration.

By the way... that's a nice cake!

I think that you need to figure up how much the cake actually cost you to make; and then make it enough so that you make a decent profit. Or, how many is it suppose to feed? I generally say $2 a slice, but I adjust my price according to how complicated it is.

The cake is awesome!!

Thanks everyone for you input. Now I know that I need to raise my prices. I only charged $25 for this cake.

I do plan on raising my prices but with just trying to really get my name known I have been undercharging.

Now I have all of her family's cake business. So it will all work out in the end.

$25! That's a steal! I'm a Dale Jr. fan and I'd probably pay $75 for it if that's what you toldme it would cost. Awesome job on the cake BTW! I want one for my birthday!

icon_eek.gif $25 is entirely too cheap. You could not get that at WalMart for $25!!! And this is definitely not a WalMart cake!!! Way to cheap. I would charge $50-60 depending on your area. That is a specialty cake. Very nice btw. Great Signature. Did you free hand that or a did a gel transfer?
