Need A Tres Leche Thick Filling For

a wedding cake coming up next week. I know, the bride still has not decided on flavors. I have a tres leche recipe but you soak the cake in it and its too runny.

I think it's best for it to be a thick filling rather than soaked into the cake as it won't be strong enough to stack. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried the sweetened condensed milk in a can? You boil it between 3-4 hours and it comes out pretty thick. And it tastes fantastic.
