Hi all,
I lived in Tuscaloosa and worked for UA for 16 years! I just relocated to WA state but couldn't help but jump into this thread.
If you are interested in getting together please give the AL Chapter of ICES some consideration. This chapter has two 'Days of Sharing' a year where they meet for the day and discuss sugar, share, and have sugar artists attend and you learn new things and techniques. I loved attending these meetings while I lived there.
I already let Kim Martin, the Alabama Representative for ICES know that you may contact her so that she can send you an invite to the next meeting. The first meeting you attend is 'free'! Her email is sugarchefgirl@yahoo.com.
I sure hope you all consider joining!
Happy decorating,
Carol

Im from Tuscaloosa AL!
I was jumping up and down when I saw this thread. Thanks for the info on ICES. I was planning to attend a meeting this year. It's nice not to have to travel to one.
Where you all buy supplies. Im buying from Michaels. Are we as limited as I think . I also order quite a bit and spend a small fortune on s&h.
