WOW!! I didn't think anyone would reply. This is kool Im a mother of 3 a 9yr old a 7 and 2yr old. If you need any help with anything just ask. I've been doing cake for about 3yrs now and I love it. Im going to put you in my Buddy list.

How far is that from Huntsville? Your cakes are AWESOME! Nothing compared to mine but I hope to be able to be that fantastic soon! I have 5 Angels 11yrs, 6yrs, 5yrs, 4yrs, and 2 yrs. Yes I am insane! LOL! Now that they are older I am trying to venture out and do something I love! Yes I will prob need some advice soon! Thank you in advance and I will add you to my buddy list also!

Hey girls! I am in Troy/Goshen; 50 miles south of Montgomery. I've been decorating cakes for family off and on about 6 years. Glad to connect with some AL girls on here.

I'm not from AL, but I have family down there. My DH and I might be heading down there soon for a marathon he wants to run in Huntsville. (if all goes well) Would love to meet some CC people.

I am in Hayden....about an hour south of Huntsville and 30-40 min north of Birmingham.

I have always had a love of cake decorating but never really devoted the time to it. I am now devoting the time....so a very NEWBIE and just getting started. I have 2 kids...11 yo boy and 10 yo girl.

YEA! More Alabamians. I am in Fultondale (small city just north of Birmingham). I haven't found any cakers near me.

Alabama in the house here too! Beulah to be exact. About 25 minutes from Auburn/Opelika. I've been caking for about 3 years now. Just a hobby right now. I have two boys 13 and 6.

Hi everybody! I'm way down here in Mobile. I got back into caking a few years ago when I had kids (son about to turn 6 and daughter that just turned 4). Nice to see several AL people on CC!!!

I lived in Tuscaloosa and worked for UA for 16 years! I just relocated to WA state but couldn't help but jump into this thread.

If you are interested in getting together please give the AL Chapter of ICES some consideration. This chapter has two 'Days of Sharing' a year where they meet for the day and discuss sugar, share, and have sugar artists attend and you learn new things and techniques. I loved attending these meetings while I lived there.

I already let Kim Martin, the Alabama Representative for ICES know that you may contact her so that she can send you an invite to the next meeting. The first meeting you attend is 'free'! Her email is [email protected].
I sure hope you all consider joining!

AHello All, Im from Tuscaloosa AL! I was jumping up and down when I saw this thread. Thanks for the info on ICES. I was planning to attend a meeting this year. It's nice not to have to travel to one. Where you all buy supplies. Im buying from Michaels. Are we as limited as I think . I also order quite a bit and spend a small fortune on s&h.
