I'm still relatively new to cake decorating. I need a good, trusted and yummy CRUSTING buttercream frosting recipe for my nephews baptism cake. Can anyone help me??? I have found many on line, but I need one that people have actually tried and tasted. Thanks for your time!

I have found the recipe "Indydebi's Crisco-Based Buttercream Icing" Is this the one? According to Sugarshack's icing, you need Hi-Ratio, where do you find that? Meijer? DO THESE NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED???

Indydebi's is wonderful, easy, and doesn't need any refrigeration, even with the milk in it.

Forgot to ask...can you use the Viva Papertowel method on this frosting? and how much does it make? Enough to frost and decorate a 10" & 8"? Or do I need to double?
