Michelle Foster's Fondant Question
Baking By JuneHawk Updated 15 Aug 2009 , 10:03pm by missymayflower
The recipe calls for glycering I can't find it. What exactly does the glycerin do in this recipe and is there anything I can substitute for it? It also calls for corn syrup and I know you can substitute glucose for corn syrup in other sugarwork, can I do it with this recipe?
Thanks!
I don't know what glycerine does or what could be used in it's place, but you can buy it anywhere that sells wilton products. It is in a little bottle that looks like the vanilla and almond flavorings. I use it in my icing color when it starts to dry out. So I guess it adds moisture to the fondant without adding water.
