I need an 8 and a 0 for 2 seperate cakes I need to cut out from 9x13 slabs.I know I can take 2 pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 paper and add to it to measure 9x13 and then draw them out but that is time consuming so I thought I would ask if anyone has templates to just print them out?

Thanks icon_wink.gif

No, but you can do it in Word, and then you can choose which font and size you want. Just choose the 'outline' option to avoid using up all your black ink. It will run over two pages and you can tape them together.

Tubbs, how do you make the numbers exceed the 8 1/2 x 11" page size?

Set the page to landscape, then it should work. Set it to, like 800 point.

I did a 1 3 a few months back (each was made from a double layer 9x13, so they were 4" high like my standard cakes). The 1 was obviously very easy (hehehe), but I just free-handed the three, making a slight impression with the tip of the knife before I started carving... the hardest part was removing the cake from inside the 3 (as it would be with the icon_cool.gif and getting the fondant in there... but all in all it came out really well. Thought after that, I swore I would only do numbers for first and eleventh birthdays (lol).
