hi everyone, i need to make a cake for a girl that has just started modelling so i was thinking of makeing a 'cakwalk' but what would i used to make the backdrop, i wanted to make fondant swags but what would i attatch them to?? should make more cake and cut it in 2inch strips and stack them behind the runway??? pls help!!

thats a good idea... just depend how many time do you have to meke this cake because you ca also make a big wall make out of gumpaste or foundant simulating the start of the runaway you can do 3 pieces to give the illusion when you se the cake at front of the area that de model get in and out of the runaway to change the clothes. and will be 3 but smaller of 1 big and fragil. imagine the long catwalk at front, then see one peace at each side almost at the end and at the very end one with a little curve with her name on it. you can decorate drawing littler BC squear and painte with silver dust (like Make me a Supermodel catwalk). The cake idea it's also very good all depends for haow many people do you gone to serve. Well hope be helpfull and good luck!!!

good idea with the gumpast, ill just roll it out and let it dry, well see what happens!!! its for next week, wish me luck ill post some pics!!!
