I am done my fair cakes (all three of them) and they were delivered safely last night. My son's decorated chocolate chip cookie made it safely as well. I am dying to post pictures - is it bad luck to post the pics before they are judged? Judging is tomorrow...

I just posted the pics - I couldn't wait any longer! We'll see! I'm not sure what time they are judging but i'm sure i'll call tomorrow afternoon to see if they've posted the winners yet! I'll let you know how I make out!

Are these Judged on looks and taste ? mine was judged mainly on flavor, taste, construction, crumbs and overall...I knew looks was not part of it, but I still made it pretty anyway..It was my very first time entering and I got First Place plus 3 other awards (=4)..some competitors have been doing it for 8-9 yrs. and they still have not won anything ever since..
They all wanted to shoot me... Good luck...let us know...

These were for the decorated cake division so they are judged on looks and taste. They will take a piece from the back of the cake to taste. The undecorated cake divisions only wanted 1/2 of a cake and they aren't allowed to be decorated.

Thank you! You're so sweet! I can't wait to see the competition. There was only one cake there last night when I dropped mine off and it was for the Governor's Cake competition which I didn't enter. When I was leaving someone was coming in with a sheet cake and a cake that looked like a window box full of flowers (probably for the bridal shower division). I didn't get a good look and I didn't want to gawk since I was walking out the door when they came in.

They are all BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And I am sure there are some ribbons coming! I am going to enter our fair...and be annoying everyone with my nervous fits...hehe

Did ya get the results yet?!?

Not yet I know the judging has been done but they haven't posted the winners yet. I don't know anyone that's gone down yet to see. They said that the winners should be posted on-line by tomorrow morning. I am going down on Sunday - so i'll find out this weekend I guess.
