I'm making cupcakes and I want to cover them with fondant...I have never done so.
I'm I supposed to use the pour fondant, and dip the cupcakes into it?
thanks in advanced
I think you can just use a cookie cutter the size of your cuppys and lay the fondant over those. But then the pour fondant would be just as easy, rolling would just eliminate the drying time.
Totally up to you I guess!
I saw on cakejournal.com how you can just dip the cupcakes into the poured fondant..it thought it was a good Idea..but I was not sure if the pour fondant coverage would look good...would it look as thick as just cutting it out and placing it on it yourself.

I've just finished some for a wedding tomorrow, so check my pics then for how they look. I think the pouring fondant creates a lovely airtight seal on your cuppies, better than just cutting out discs. I like to bake my cupcakes to just under the rim of the paper and then spoon the fondant on creating the seal.
You can dip it when you use poured fondant or you can cut out circles if you are going to use rolled fondant.
