Hey guys, I just thought I'd add a link for a video that shows another way to doing a topsy turvy cake. What I like about this way is that the centers of each of your tiers are truly lined up, even though they appear not to be, therefore you are able to get a very secure cake with one long dowel completely through the center. He is talking about cutting it but not the support system..Did I miss that?..

Correct, he did nothing on the support system, but I have seen plenty of information on how to do the support. I just thought the carving part was really easy. I tried to carve a practice one the other week and I did not get the look I wanted. Then I came across this blog and the stacking the cakes on the cake pan and putting the smaller cake board on top and using it as a guide would work better for me. Just thought it would be useful for others as well.
