Good evening Ladies,
I will be doing my first wedding cake for Aug.8th and have a question of how many layers I need to bake for each tier to be the right height. I have 3 inch deep pans it will be 3 tiers 14, 10, and 6 inch. I want this cake to turn out good since it is my first one I have done 2 - 2 tier cakes and have not had any problems but really just want my first wedding cake to turn out great so any help would be great.

TIA,
Diane

Diane,

If you torte each layer, and fill in between you should have close to 4 inches tall if not 4 inches for each tier.
