I have been decorating cakes for 2 years now for close friends and family but I have never charged anyone for my cakes. I finally agreed to make a castle cake for a coworker of mine. I told her that I would charge her $60 for the castle cake but now everyone is telling me that it's way too little for the time I put into it. The picture I'm attaching is of my first ever attempt at a cake. The top tier is 6" and the bottom is 9". Both are covered in fondant. The one I will be making her will have a lot more decoartions on it. Please let me know what a good price would be for this cake.

I would start of at $125.00 plus the cost of the materials for the castle. That is 36 servings total if you view the Wilton Serving chart. I would charge by the serving and since it it fondant covered; I would charge no less than 3.50 per serving. Most ladies on here charge more than that. Hope that helps.
