Hey guys!

So I recently got engaged and am now in the midst of planning and I'm trying to figure out the best process for me to make my own wedding cake. Preferably I want to finish it 2-3 days in advance so I'm not worrying or thinking about it, and I need it to hold up that long until the reception so that I can just stack it morning of. The cake will be fondant.

My question is I normally use betty crocker and it settles quite a bit over a couple days. Like for instance I recently finished a buttercream wedding cake of mine on a thursday and by sunday the sides of a couple of tiers had wrinkled pretty bad. Does anyone have a really good sturdy pound cake recipe, probably one similar to what Duff most likely uses, so that a fondant cake can sit out on a counter for several days and still hold up beautifully?

Thanks so much for your help!! =]
