I have an order for a bridal shower cake. The mother of the bride wants a 2-tiered cake, and she wants each tier shaped like a chinese lantern. I've worked with a circular cake only once in the past. I used a glass baking bowl to bake a rounded cake. Does anyone have any suggestions for baking this shape? Is it feasible to stack two circular cakes on top of one another? I was thinking of suggesting one large cake in the shape of a lantern, rather than 2 stacked lanterns. Any advice would REALLY be appreciated. Thank you!!
