Now what? This was my first bridal fair. I do not know what to do with these leads. I had to have a drawing at my table, so I ended up getting leads from this. But now, I don't know if I should be calling or not. Some only gave their phone number, some only email, and some only address. What is the best way to contact them? Should I be calling or should I wait for the people that just gave me their phone numbers to call me?
Any help is appreciated. I will post pictures later of what my cakes and display looked like.
Thank you!
Since it was for a drawing for a prize, I would be very friendly and helpful about your follow-up, but I would definitely do some follow-up. An e-mail or mailer that says "Thanks for visiting my table" with a special offer- maybe a free tasting or cupcakes with purchase or an "upgrade" of some kind. If they only gave a phone number, I would call to say thank-you and to offer help or answers to questions.
Agree with the above post. Since it was for a drawing, you don't want to do a big "hard sell" ..... they didn't fill out a form stating "yes, please call me so we can talk at length" ..... but just a "Thanks for stopping by" and maybe asking if they got all the info they needed or could you help them with anything else?
I agree, definitely follow up with all of them, regarding the show. I do bridal shows for my job as a travel agent, I know its very different. But I do get the leads the same way. I follow up immediately. Then the ones with emails and addresses I send something out every couple of months or so, featuring specials, destination seminars, etc. I think it should be the same for cakes, that way you can you can remind them of your business for holiday, special occasions, etc.
Thank you for the replies. I was planning on contacting the people with emails and addresses, but was unsure of the people with the phone numbers. I now know what to say to these people that only left a phone number.
Thanks again!
