If you have what did you think?

I made some for the first time on Thursday night. The texture is light and fluffy with a fine crumb but they're SO DRY icon_sad.gif I just tried another one hoping they'd get more moist from the chocolate icing but they're terrible. What a waste of ingredients.

Does anyone have any success with this recipe?

Is WBH - whimsical bake house?

I tried their vanilla cake recipe and it was tender and moist. However, I didn't think that that it baked up very nice. People loved it though.

Yup Whimsical Bakehouse.

I used the vanilla cupcake recipe, baked up beautifully however they are so dry and crumbly. I'm sure I didn't over bake them because they're barely golden on top.

I hate wasting good ingredients on stuff that turns out inedible. icon_sad.gif

I tried it once so far and added 1 box of vanilla instant pudding and they were pretty moist, did you follow their directions exactly....I wonder if famous bakeries really publish their recipes they use all the time or do they fudge them a bit or put out similar recipes.......

Hi,

Yeah I also wonder about that. They could very well be weighing the ingredients, which I'm sure they are. Maybe I'll try that next time. I liked the flavor, just not the dryness.

Thanks for your response.

you can also sub vanilla flavored yogurt or sour cream or butter milk or heavy cream for liquid in recipes to vary the flavors slightly and the moisture results too. just use same amount the recipe calls for the liquid to be
