How far in advance can I make sugar beer bottles? The cake isn't due until the 24th of this month, but that week I'll be working 50+ hours so I wanted to see if I could make the bottles before then and if they would still look good come the 24th.
Thanks

As long as you store them in a cool dry place you can make them now. Some have suggested storing them in an airtight container.

I found out the hard way not to wrap them in cellophane or else all the wrinkles on the cellophane end up on the bottle. Although by my making this mistake I found that when I rubbed the bottles with my fingers dipped in warm water that the foggyness of the bottles cleared up along with the wrinkles and made the bottles look even more realistic. But don't use too much water or they get too sticky.

Also, when I laid a couple of bottles on their side and the kitchen got too warm they got flat on one side... bummer. Next time I will keep them in the refrigerator until I'm going to use them.
