I took my last cake from level 1 to church today because my family is getting all caked out. Anyway, while sitting and talking to people during fellowship a man walked up to me and asked me if I would be willing to do a wedding cake for 100 people in the next few months. Sure! Lets get together with the bride and go over what she wants and get a quote together. I read, BTW, that the average cost per serving in the U.S. is actually $5.00 per...... what are the 'average' cake makers using as ingredients? Sheesh!

Congratulations! You should feel really good!

As to an average $5.00 per serving-- figure in at least $10.00 per hour of your time and see if you don't come close to $5.00 or more. Then ask yourself what Ron Ben Israel or Colette Peters or Scott Clark Woolley get and realize that all that figures into the national average....
