I am getting very frustrated with CC right now, not all you lovely ladies (and gents) but with the site itself, finally the borders saying that they are working on the site have come down and today I have had more problems than I care to mention. I have about 5 cakes to upload to the site today, and have so far uploaded 2 and that has taken me ages! one never even made it onto the home page - even though some cakes have made it onto it in triplicate. I'm not going to bother uploading the others (at least for now) if anyone wants to see the new cakes I have worked on then you are welcome to visit my website www.colchestercakes.co.uk (just a draft website at the mo - just somewhere to post pics for friends and family to see them, currently working on my new one - yay).

Anyone else getting frustrated or is it just me? I know everyone said to be patient but the maintenance signs have come down now which tells me that the work is complete? Maybe my message will reach someone who can do something to put it right, maybe it won't but I do feel a whole lot better after a good rant!

I understand your fustration. Posts/Replies/Pictures are all showing up multiple times. I hope Jackie & Heath left someone in charge while they are on their honeymoon.

WOW -- you do awesome work!!! I especially love the orange "25"one and the purple guitar cake, but they are ALL fantastic!!

(and if this compliment prints 3 or more times as has been happening all day, that's okay, because you deserve to hear it 3 times!)

Oh yes I know they are away but surely they are not the only ones in charge of the site?? This is a huge site and if it is just them then why of why decide to do maintenance on the lead up to your wedding?? Lol I had a 9 - 5 job and I only just managed to make my wedding cake on the lead up to the wedding!

I just needed to have a rant... there is nothing worse than thinking I will just quickly put those cakes on CC (and take extra time to write a nice long description! - which I had to write twice due being told I had already uploaded the photo - which I hadn't!) and then thinking to myself I will just check back to see how my favourite cake I've made so far looks on the home page (which is a guilty pleasure of mine) and see what bit was chosen to be enlarged etc to find it never shows up!

I am not blaming anyone and I do understand that things like this can't be helped, but it is sooo frustrating!! Lol.

Crikey JGMB thanks for the compliments, I had such a long week last week doing cakes and working full time, plus working on our other new business that I just feel completely drained, and your comment has really perked me up! I think thats why the slowness and problems with uploading the pics made me need a good rant to get it out of my system, I really look forward to getting my pics on CC!! Its strange a lot of people compliment the 25 cake and that cake was made with no prior planning and me deciding what to do once the cake was iced in white and sitting in front of me, it was just after xmas so there wan't much time, luckily it was for my hubby!

I woke up this morning to find a comment on my cake photo that I was told wasn't uploaded. Does anyone else have to click the back button twice for it to do something? Hopefully someone can fix this soon. I love CC and don't know what I'd do without it.
