How does fondant taste white buttercream under it. i have heard that it is really gross but have never tried it. I have also heard that Marshmellow fondant is better
Well, I've only ever tried Wilton and MMF. The Wilton taste is so gross my dog won't eat it, and he eats everything in sight. And yes, the MMF fondant tastes great. It kind of meshes with the BC. It still has that tough consistancy, but I can tell you that people don't take it off the cake before they eat it. Also, I've heard tons of people say they love Michael Fosters, but I haven't tried it yet.
Good morning, Wilton fondant is not good at all. If you want to use fondant I recommend making MMF or spend some money on quality fondant. I use three different fondants and I buy them all.
Fondx has a great taste and is very easy to use.
Satin Ice I use for their colors and is a little to soft, so I add a little Fondx or powder sugar to make it a little stronger.
Fondarific is one of my favorite flavors. It comes out hard, so once again I add a little Fondx to it. I only use their Butter Cream (off white) and Chocolate (brown) flavors. They are my biggest seller for the taste-they are great. I actually have people request my fondant cakes.
So the bottom line is, it depends on finding what works for you and what you want to spend. Before I found these fondants, I refused to make fondant cakes. Now I prefer fondant over butter cream.

where can i find all these diffrenet types of fondant? So Marshmellow fondant doest taste good with BC?
Yes, it tastes good with BC. I found an easy recipe on youtube to make it with a mixer if you want to check it out. Just type in 'how to make marshmallow fondant' and it'll take you right to it. GL!

Just watched that video. Looks easy enough. We're probably going to make our first mmf this week following it. Thanks for pointing it out!

Super easy to make and tastes great, no need for the mixer.
Fondx and Satin Ice can be found just about any where cake supplies are sold. GSA sells it. Fondarific is sold through fondarific.com, if you are a business, you can get it whole sale.
