Hi, I'm new here and have just started doing cake topped cupcake towers. I was only doing them for friends and family but started getting so many requests I'm starting to branch out. I use cake mixes(sorry) but make my own buttercream and I fill all my cupcakes. For the cake and tower in ?- I made 88 cupcakes- 5 different combo's- had a little menu framed for the guests and differentiated the flavors by using ribbons and charms, etc. The thing I'm not sure about is how to price these. I figured out that raw materials for a regular size cupcake run about $0.25 and for the jumbo cupcakes about $0.55- so I think I have an idea about those- but the cake topper is more of a challlenge- layered 6 inch covered in Satin Ice ($22.00 for 5lb locally)How much should I be charging? Thanks in advance! Karen
(ok so I told you I'm new here- couldn't figure out how to post the picture here but it's in the baby shower gallery- listed as Turtle Cupcake tower)

I charge $5/serving for the cake and cuppies start at $3.50 each for plain swirled and go up from there.

I'm just a bit north of you in NH just so you know where I'm coming from geographically. icon_biggrin.gif
