a friend asked me to make little mermaid cupcakes. i've never made them b4 and wanted to do more than simply swirl a cupcake and add an edible Ariel cake decoration. i thought i'd make coral in water, starfish, fish w/bubbles, etc.
has anyone ever made similar cupcakes and have a picture of them, or some ideas on what i can do? i wanted to make my own Ariel, Sebastian, etc. but need some inspiration . Thanks for any help.

I just did a Little Mermaid cake last weekend, we had been planning on making cupcakes but didn't get to. I was just going to make them ocean blue with birght colored coral an flowers on each.

I would make coral from RI ....candy melts seashells...If you check my photos there is a under the sea cake that I recently did which has all these thing son it..it was really cute!!!

I think those molds were from Wilton..the regular shell mold but I have several shells molds from other companies as well but at the time I couldn't find them!
