For an easy filling, I use my chocolate buttercream. I add extra cocoa and flavorings, like almond, coconut, peanut butter, nutella, orange, coffee, etc. It taste yummy like fudge and is stable.

Best chocolate flavor... cooled whipped chocolate ganache... easy easy easy. Another filling might be any of the good instant chocolate mousse that are on the shelf. But ganache is better and just as easy.

The chocolate syrup frosting in the recipe section makes a wonderful filling, also!

Not to hijack, icon_redface.gif but are you talking about flavorings or actual almonds, coconut, and peanut butter? icon_confused.gif And if you do mean flavorings, where do you get peanut butter? TIA

I am talking about adding almond and coconut flavors not nuts or coconut. But you could add those, if that is what you wanted in the filling.

I do use actual peanut butter, smooth and or crunchy added to my chocolate buttercream, if the client doesn't have an allergy to peanuts.
It taste like fudge, Oh yeah!

Thank you! I'm making a Reeses (sp?) cake soon and never even thought about mixing the PB with the chocolate. Great idea! thumbs_up.gif

Melt 2 cups chocolate chips with a can of sweetened condensed milk...one of my favorite chocolate fillings.
