Today my daughter and I stopped at Candy Nation in the village of Fairport. They have a very limited supply of items. I mentioned to the owner that we really need a cake decorating store locally and she should think about expanding and adding more cake stuff. She said she has been thinking about it.

Currently, they carry a small selection of:
- Merckens (1 lb bags) (Tadco in Henrietta has bigger bags, but not the Super White)
- Lor-Ann oils
- CK sprinkles and a few other items (paramount crystals, sugar pearls)
- a variety of candy molds
- Oh, and they have Cadbury chocolates (I had to get a Flake bar!) I forgot to ask if they had the Cherry Ripe I've been reading about here. I bet she could order it though.

I know, it's not much, but it is stuff you cannot get at the craft stores, so it's a start. Just wanted to pass it along, in case you are looking for any of the items and are in the area. Hopefully they will expand and we can finally have a supply store locally.

Today I was in Cooks World looking for a square cake pan (I don't want a Wilton and have no time to wait for shipping). They carry Fat Daddios round pans (no square though). They also have Ateco tips & pastry bags, cutters, Spectrum colors (basic colors only), and a few other items.

While paying for my stuff, I saw a business card at the register for Innovative Restaurant Supply, which is in Henrietta. I called and they only carry Wilton pans icon_sad.gif . I checked the website to see what else they have and saw that they carry Rich's Bettercream! I'm looking forward to finally trying that as so many people seem to love it so much.

This one I've mentioned before, but I figure it's good to have everything in one place. Tadco/Niblack in Henrietta (near Lori's Natural Foods) has sleeved fillings, Merckens (white & brown), flavorings, some boards & boxes, silver dragees (not the high quality French kind though), sprinkles, powdered food coloring, coconut (the wide shreds), grains, and lots of spices.

If you know of other places, please add to this list.
