Has anyone put instant pudding in buttercream frosting?
How about Jello (powder) in the cake mix?
I've put pudding in the cake mix; and I used to make Jello "poke cake".
If you've tried these combinations, how did they turn out?
Thanks.

SugarShack uses powdered coffee creamer in her recipe and Indydebi used powered Dream Whip in her recipe. So I would think powdered pudding would work just as well.

I have to make some cupcakes tonight. I'll give it a try.

I recently used the white chocolate instant pudding in cream cheese icing and boy was it yum-my! The only issue is the pudding tints the icing. In my case it was OK that the icing was ivory instead of white.

I also make a killer strawberry cake with strawberry jello in the cake batter along with pureed strawberries.

Parable, does Jell-o still make the white chocolate instant pudding? The stores around me don't carry it anymore, and I'm so annoyed.
Do you just add the strawberry Jell-o to a cake mix? Sounds delicious!

Morecakeplz, please let us know how the pudding in the frosting works out. Thanks for trying it.
Thanks!

cuttercake, I just bought the white choc pudding last month. So sorry your store isn't stocking it anymore. As for the jello, yes just add it to the mix along with one cup of pureed strawberries and you will be in heaven. The pureed strawberries are in place of the water.

That sounds delicious! With the Jell-o in the cake, do you add the eggs and oil according to directions?
Thanks.

I put the pudding mix in my cake batter and my frosting. when you put it in the frosting, you have to dissolve it in milk first or it will make your frosting grainy.

I always add the cheesecake flavor pudding to my white cake and my frosting. I add the chocolate fudge pudding to my chocoalte frosting.

I add the cheesecake flavor to my Red Velvet and vanilla to my Carrot Cake, they both get lots of compliments. I really have trouble finding the cheesecake flavor so when I do I stock up.
