I would imagine you die hard cupcake makers have seen something like this before, but wow!

wow! WOW! wow!
that's so nice!!
Wish I had more time to do cupcakes like that... or maybe I should wish I would have customers who would pay for something like that!
those are beautiful.. I have never seen them before... I am trying to decide how labor intensive they are..
I can't wait for someone on here to try it and report back with pictures/difficulty rating!
Thank you for letting us know about this shop and tutorial.
They do fantastic work.

Thanks for the link Jamie. I think I'm gonna have to spend some time playing with extra tall cuppycakes now.... Now just to find a place near me that stocks those acid vellum papers.
I think acid free paper is what you find at the higher end stationery stores, yes? The kind where you buy one sheet at a time?
Stationary store, I hadn't even thought about that!
Do you suppose the fact that its acid free means its food safe I know there's a lot of stuff out there that is used every day for food stuffs that's probably not as safe as craft paper*... but still makes me a little worried about the whole sanitary deal.
*I did a class in Artifact Conservation in my Museum Studies program... and lordy you do not wanna see the stuff cling/syran wrap can do.
WOW ! I'm in love ! Those are so cute....hope to try making them this weekend !...I'm thinking vanilla bean cupcake with dark chocolate ganache filling...yumm
Wow!! Those are amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing. That is such a cool idea. I can hardly wait to try this out. I might skip the vellum and stencil on the fondant.

Oh my gosh I love this idea!!! I wanted to send my neice/nephew and sister cupcakes but I wasnt able to find a way to make sure they would get there intacted. This is awesome! I'm going today and getting what I need!!!
Thanks so much for sharing!
I was wondering, has anybody tried something similar, but used a jelly roll technique instead? Seems like not as much cake would be wasted, if it is at all possible. Just wondering. Thanks!!
oh great, now I have another item to add to my "cake adventure" list. I've also got a royal icing tiara on there, a topsy turvy, a belly cake, and gumpaste roses (I've just started on that project, it's so much fun!).
I think my husband is starting to miss snuggling with me on the couch. . .
Oh those would be perfect for a wedding! I love the technique. How many "servings" do you suppose you would get out of a three stacked cupcake?
wow. These are so pretty. I would love to try these for a SMALL wedding or maybe a wedding shower would be good. Thanks so much for sharing.
