I really want to try and make a wine bottle cake. I love how they look inside a box or crate. I have looked at some of the pics and some said the bottle is make out of something other than cake and the box is cake. I really don't care how I do it. I was wondering if anyone has done one or how I would go about doing one?
Thanks!!

Hi! I made a wine bottle in a crate cake(it's in my pics), what I did was make the crate out of cake. The sides were fondant, the shavings were white chocolate. For the bottle, what I did was to mold the gumpaste around an actual wine bottle. I only covered it a little over halfway, for easy removal once the gumpaste was dry. Then I removed the gumpaste bottle, added my edible image lable, painted it with food coloring mixed with vodka for sheen, and placed it on my cake. Oh yeah, I also wrapped a piece of burgundy fondant around top for the foil. If you have any more questions, feel free to p.m. me. I hope this helps!

What difference does it make if the license is "sideways instead of up and down". Your date of birth is on the license. If you're 21, it's right there in plain view.
